We have the great pleasure of inviting you to participate in the national conference with
international participation “Modern trends in neurosurgery”. The conference will take place
within the 37th edition of the Balkan Medical Week from June 7 to 10, 2023 under the auspices of
the Ministry of Health and the “Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy
from the Republic of Moldova.

The Balkan Medical Congress (37th edition) is dedicated to Balkan medicine in the post-
COVID 19 period and unites specialists from various fields: urology, surgery, neurosurgery,
otorhinolaryngology, cardiology, rheumatology, gastrology, hepatology, hematology, dermatology
and others.

The neurosurgery section comes with a 2-day program of plenary lectures performed by
international and national speakers. The conference will be organized by the Diomid Gherman
Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in collaboration with the Association of Neurosurgeons
from the Republic of Moldova and the Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and
Pharmacy.

The conference aims to provide a high-quality educational event for a national and regional
audience with up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge of the outstanding advances in the
development of modern neurosurgery.
